Although many online bankruptcy help sites offer a short-cut means test calculator, we feel that it is far better to work with actual numbers. The majority of people either pass or fail the means test based on their current gross income, although the actual means test calculation is done as an average of the last 6 months income.
We have posted a chart below showing current median family income as of April 2011. Please note that these numbers can change at any time without notice and generally do about every 6 months. These numbers can provide a guideline, but we urge you to call us so we can provide a real means test for you.
