Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is designed to liquidate (or kill) as much of your debt as allowed.
Normally, this excludes killing obligations like Child Support, Student Loans, Fines/Restitution, and Tax obligations from the last three years.  Chapter 7 Petition Preparation is all that we do. 

Chapter 13 is designed to give you the opportunity to repay all or part of you debt, usually over a five year period.

Chapter 13 is generally used if:
1. You filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy within the last 8 years and it was completed and discharged.

2. You need help getting your creditors, including the IRS to agree to a repayment plan that you can afford.

3.You want to save your home but need a payment plan for payments that are in arrears.

These are just a few examples of reasons to do a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. We recommend that Chapter 13 Bankruptcy be handled by an Attorney and would be glad to recommend some Chapter 13 Attorneys to you if you would like.
